I have experience in voluntary groups including a drugs and alcohol agency, Samaritans, Parentline; and the National Childbirth Trust (as antenatal teacher and counsellor). Social work posts were in child and family care, psychiatric services and as a family court advisor. I worked as a counsellor and social worker within a General Practice (primary health care team) for 8 years before commencing a 5 year part time training in psychotherapy.

As a psychotherapist and family therapist I have been associated with Womens Counselling and Therapy Service Leeds. I currently work in private practice as a counsellor, psychotherapist and family therapist. Overall I have 20 years experience as a trained counsellor and a further 22 years as a qualified psychotherapist.

I supervise for several counselling training courses and also offer training therapies to student counsellors and psychotherapists. I supervise qualified counsellors and psychotherapists from a variety of settings including a prison, voluntary bodies and social services.
